Adjunct Faculty members play an important role in preparing and inspiring students through engaging instruction, mentorship, and real-world perspectives that support academic and career growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach Psychology courses in accordance with Miami Dade College curriculum standards and learning outcomes.
- Prepare and deliver engaging instructional materials, lectures, discussions, and classroom activities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, projects, and participation.
- Maintain accurate student attendance, grades, and academic records.
- Provide academic support, guidance, and timely communication to students.
- Utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems to support classroom instruction.
- Adhere to College policies, procedures, and academic standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Counseling and/or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution or.
- Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Counseling and/or Psychology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
