Adjunct Faculty members play an important role in preparing and inspiring students through engaging instruction, mentorship, and real-world perspectives that support academic and career growth.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teach Psychology courses in accordance with Miami Dade College curriculum standards and learning outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging instructional materials, lectures, discussions, and classroom activities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment.
  • Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, projects, and participation.
  • Maintain accurate student attendance, grades, and academic records.
  • Provide academic support, guidance, and timely communication to students.
  • Utilize instructional technologies and learning management systems to support classroom instruction.
  • Adhere to College policies, procedures, and academic standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree in Counseling and/or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution or.
  • Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Counseling and/or Psychology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
